The True Friend

Once upon a time, two friends were walking through a forest. Suddenly, a bear appeared. Both of them got scared. One quickly climbed a tree to save himself, forgetting about his friend. The other friend couldn't climb the tree. Feeling helpless, he had an idea. He lay down pretending to be dead because he knew the bear wouldn’t hurt a dead body. The bear came near him, sniffed him, and then walked away. After the bear left, the friend who had climbed the tree came down and asked, “What did the bear whisper in your ear?”. The other friend replied, “The bear told me to stay away from fake friends who leave you in times of danger.

Moral: A friend in need is a friend indeed.
