Global Warming: A Warning for Our Earth
Global warming is the continuous rise in the Earth’s average temperature. It is a serious problem caused mainly by human activities. The main reason for this is the “Greenhouse Effect.” When we burn fuels like coal, oil, and petrol to run cars and factories, we release gases like Carbon Dioxide CO2 and methane. These gases act like a thick blanket around the planet, trapping the sun’s heat and stopping it from escaping back into space.
Cutting down forests is another big cause because trees naturally absorb CO2. The results of global warming are dangerous. The ice at the North and South Poles is melting, causing sea levels to rise. This puts cities near the ocean at risk of flooding. We are also seeing more extreme weather, such as strong storms and very hot summers. To fix this, we must switch to clean energy like solar power and plant more trees to protect our environment.
