Privacy Policy
At Vision Institute, we are committed to safeguarding your privacy and ensuring transparency regarding how student data, comments, and website interactions are managed.
1. Introduction & Scope
Welcome to Vision Institute ("we", "our", or "us"), accessible at https://visioninstitute.in. We are an independent educational initiative dedicated to empowering students of WBBSE (Class 5–10), WBCHSE (Class 11–12), and NCERT / CBSE (Class 5–10) with comprehensive textbook exercise solutions, chapter-wise notes, diagrams, and mock tests.
This Privacy Policy document explains how personal and non-personal data is collected, processed, stored, and safeguarded when you visit our website, sign in with your Google account, post comments in discussions, subscribe to our educational newsletter, or interact with our learning materials.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways: information you choose to provide voluntarily, and technical data collected automatically during your visit.
A. Personal Information Voluntarily Provided
- Firebase Google Authentication: When you sign in using your Google account to participate in discussions, we receive your public profile details from Google OAuth: your Full Name, Email Address, Profile Avatar Photo URL, and a unique Firebase User ID (UID). We never request, collect, or store your Google password.
- Interactive Comments & Doubts: When you write a comment or ask a question under an article, your submitted comment text, author name, avatar photo, and creation timestamp are saved.
- Email Newsletter Subscriptions: When you subscribe to our newsletter via our subscription form, we collect and store your email address.
- Contact Inquiries: When you send a message through our Contact Us page, we collect your name, email address, and inquiry text.
B. Information Collected Automatically
- Log Files & Technical Identifiers: Like most web servers, our hosting infrastructure records standard log files, including your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamps, referring/exit pages, and click paths.
- Usage & Engagement Metrics: We track anonymous page views, scroll depth, article read durations, and post engagement (likes and view counts) via Google Analytics 4 and Firebase Firestore.
- Local Storage (UI Preferences): When you toggle Day Vision or Night Vision (Dark Mode), your visual preference is saved locally on your device in browser
localStorage(vi-theme) so your preference persists across page navigations.

We use the collected information strictly for legitimate educational, operational, and safety purposes, including to:
- Provide, operate, and continuously improve our educational content, textbook solutions, and chapter notes.
