Subject: Nuisance of loudspeakers and noise pollution near silence zones
Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I wish to ventilate my deep annoyance regarding the blatant defiance of noise rules and the indiscriminate blaring of loudspeakers near our local hospital and schools.

During festivals and social events, deafening music and DJ boxes are played late into the night with impunity, completely disregarding the court-mandated 100-meter 'Silence Zone' around hospitals. Critical patients, especially those in the ICU, suffer acute mental agony and sleeplessness. Furthermore, secondary students preparing for their final board examinations are unable to concentrate amidst the continuous racket.

I therefore appeal to the police administration and the State Pollution Control Board to strictly enforce sound limits, seize unauthorized sound equipment, and penalize violators promptly.

Thanking you,
