Subject: Steep rise in prices of essential commodities
Sir,

Through the esteemed columns of your widely circulated daily, I would like to voice my serious concern over the rampant and unchecked price rise of essential commodities affecting common citizens.

The skyrocketing prices of everyday necessities such as rice, pulses, mustard oil, green vegetables, and LPG cylinders have completely shattered family budgets. Poor and middle-class families are finding it exceedingly difficult to manage two square meals a day. While natural factors like fuel hike are cited, artificial scarcity created by unscrupulous hoarders and middlemen is primarily responsible for this crisis.

Therefore, I earnestly urge the government and the enforcement branch to crack down heavily on black-marketeers, streamline fair-price shops, and strictly monitor open markets to bring essential goods within common people's reach.

Thanking you,
