Newspaper Report: Safe Drive Save Life Awareness Campaign | Class 10

Burdwan, July 8: In an earnest bid to curb rising road accidents and spread traffic awareness, Burdwan High School, in active collaboration with the District Traffic Police, organized a day-long 'Safe Drive Save Life' campaign yesterday.

The programme commenced at 9:30 AM with a massive student rally that traversed major roads of the town. Students carried colorful posters and chanted slogans emphasizing the importance of wearing helmets, avoiding mobile phones while driving, and using zebra crossings. The Officer-in-Charge of Traffic addressed students on defensive driving and demonstrated traffic signals. The highlight of the event was an impressive street play presented by Class X students on the tragic consequences of drunk driving. Free ISI-marked helmets were distributed to ten bike riders without headgear. The inspiring initiative was widely praised by local citizens and school authorities.
