Trees are the best friends of mankind and the most vital asset of our planet. Life on earth is impossible without them. Through photosynthesis, trees absorb harmful carbon dioxide and release life-saving oxygen that we breathe. They give us food, fruits, flowers, timber, fuel, and medicinal herbs. Moreover, trees bring rain, prevent soil erosion, check floods, and combat global warming. They also provide shelter to birds and wild animals, maintaining ecological balance. However, due to human greed, forests are being destroyed mercilessly today. To save our planet, we must stop deforestation immediately and plant more trees everywhere.
বঙ্গানুবাদ ও সহজ ভাবার্থ (Bengali Meaning)
অনুচ্ছেদটির বাংলা ভাবার্থ: গাছ মানুষের পরম বন্ধু এবং আমাদের এই পৃথিবীর সবচেয়ে মূল্যবান সম্পদ। গাছ ছাড়া পৃথিবীতে প্রাণের অস্তিত্ব অসম্ভব। সালোকসংশ্লেষ প্রক্রিয়ায় গাছ ক্ষতিকারক কার্বন ডাই-অক্সাইড শোষণ করে এবং আমাদের শ্বাস নেওয়ার জন্য জীবনদায়ী অক্সিজেন ত্যাগ করে। গাছ আমাদের খাদ্য, ফুল, ফল, কাঠ এবং জীবনদায়ী ভেষজ ওষুধ দেয়। এছাড়া গাছ বৃষ্টি নামায়, ভূমিক্ষয় রোধ করে এবং গ্লোবাল ওয়ার্মিং নিয়ন্ত্রণে রাখে। অথচ মানুষের নির্বোধ লোভের কারণে আজ নির্বিচারে বন কেটে ফেলা হচ্ছে। পৃথিবীকে ধ্বংসের হাত থেকে বাঁচাতে আমাদের অবিলম্বে বৃক্ষচ্ছেদ বন্ধ করতে হবে এবং ব্যাপকভাবে নতুন গাছ লাগাতে হবে।
