Making of Paper
Paper is an essential part of our daily life. The production of paper involves several interesting steps. At first, bamboo, softwood, and rags are collected and cut into small chips. Next, these chips are boiled with water and caustic soda in a digester to make soft pulp. Then, the pulp is bleached white with chemicals. After that, sizing chemicals and colors are mixed with it. Thereafter, the wet pulp is passed through heated rollers to press it into flat sheets. Finally, the dried paper is rolled into reels, cut into reams, and packed for distribution.
